The Summer Camp Manager reports to the Director of Education and is responsible for the effective operation, safety, and delivery of PEEC’s Day Camp and assigned year-round user groups. This position serves as the primary operational leader and public face of summer camp, promoting PEEC’s vision and mission through professional leadership, high-quality programming, and staff supervision.

The ideal candidate has demonstrated leadership in camp administration, outdoor education, or environmental programming with progressive staff management experience, as well as strong organizational, administrative, and interpersonal communication skills. First Aid, CPR, AED, and/or Lifeguard certifications desired.

Position Description & Qualifications

This is a regular, full-time, exempt position. Annual salary range of $30,000 to $32,000 along with on-site room and board. Additional benefits include accrued paid sick and vacation time off, 75% employer-paid medical/dental/ vision insurance, 403(B) program (with employer match of 7.5%), short-term disability, and life insurance.

Environmental Education Instructors at PEEC perform three major duties: program delivery, program development, and customer service. Sample responsibilities include:

• Provide quality environmental education programs for PEEC’s formal and informal education guests, including but not limited to schools, summer camps, scouts, and public programs on both weekdays and weekends.
• Participate in facility and instructional materials up-keep and receptionist duties.
• Respond to questions or requests for information from program participants and visitors about PEEC policies/procedures, programs, points of interest in the park, or other information.

Position Description & Qualifications

Compensation: Starting at $880 biweekly, plus room and board 

We are seeking reliable, team-oriented Cooks to join our dining hall staff. This role supports food service for a wide range of guests, including school groups, campers, and adult participants attending workshops, conferences, and retreats.

Positions are seasonal and staff can expect 35 to 40 hours/week during our busy season from April to November, with part time work during the winter months.

Cook Position ($17 per hour): Position Details

We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented Kitchen Prep staff to support food service operations in our dining hall. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth daily kitchen operations by preparing ingredients and maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment. PEEC serves a wide range of guests including school groups, campers, and adults attending workshops, conferences, and retreats.

Positions are seasonal and staff can expect 35 to 40 hours/week during our busy season from April to November, with part time work during the winter months.

Kitchen Prep Cook Position ($13 per hour): Position Details

Clean lodging and facilities are essential to the visitor experience at PEEC. We are looking for detail-oriented individuals who can work both independently, as well as part of a team, to ensure a welcoming environment for all visitors.

Positions are seasonal and staff can expect 20 to 40 hours/week during our busy season from March to October, with part time work during the winter months.
