The Summer Day Camp Code of Conduct is designed to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment where every camper, parent or guardian, and PEEC staff member can make the most of their time at camp. This document serves as a guide to help all participants understand what is expected of them, encourage positive choices, and ensure that everyone’s camp experience is enjoyable and rewarding.
Summer Camp Policies & Agreements
PEEC is committed to providing the best Summer Day Camp program possible and providing PEEC’s specific brand of experiential learning as hands-on summer fun. In order to ensure the continued quality and safety of Summer Day Camp, PEEC adheres to the following policies and agreements in day-to-day operations. Camp families are encouraged to review these documents to ensure a thorough understanding of PEEC’s Summer Day Camp.
Participation Expectations
Participation Expectations for Summer Day Camp identify basic camper capabilities necessary to be successful within the program. Expectations include the basic physical and behavioral benchmarks for campers to thrive in our program, as well as measures and support provided to ensure campers’ continued success.
One-on-One Support Personnel Policy
PEEC encourages families to work collaboratively with camp staff in the pre-summer planning process to identify any support that may be beneficial, which has historically included one-on-one support personnel. Support professionals in adherence with our policies are always welcome to aid in the success of our campers.
Allergen & Dietary Accommodation Policy
PEEC holds safety as the highest priority in day-to-day operations, and this extends to our conduct and accommodations within our dining services. PEEC’s Day Camp Allergen & Dietary Accommodation Policy outlines our dining facility’s capabilities and safety measures taken to mitigate these concerns.
Medication Policy
In addition to safety, PEEC makes significant effort to work with families on an individual basis to make programs accessible. PEEC’s Medication Policy outlines the procedures and boundaries regarding the handling of prescription and emergency medications during the Summer Day Camp program.
Medical & Liability Waiver
PEEC strives to create as safe and healthy of an environment as possible, and has extensive policies and procedures in place to support this ideal. Our Summer Day Camp Medical & Liability Waiver clearly identifies the inherent risks associated with the nature of the Summer Day Camp program, and the expected measures to be taken by both the camp families and PEEC as an organization.
