PEEC advances environmental education, sustainable living, and appreciation for nature through hands-on experience in a national park.

The Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) is located within the 77,000 acre Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, along the Delaware River, and is within driving distance of New York City & Philadelphia.

PEEC is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a 44 year education partner of the National Park Service.

The Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) offers its strong support for efforts to end racism and prejudice in our society. PEEC always has, and always will be, committed to addressing inequality through our mission of providing equitable environmental education experiences to all, but most especially to the thousands of young people who do not have ready access to the natural world. As we reflect on current events, and challenge ourselves to continue to make a positive impact, we remain committed to listening to the needs of the communities we serve and educate. Only by coming together, and providing all visitors meaningful opportunities for shared experiences, can we achieve a lasting, positive impact on each other and the environment.
