About PEEC's Nature Adventure Camp
Our nature adventure camp is designed to help campers grow and explore while under the guidance of staff. Our staff are instructors, interns, and couselors who are hired based on experience and given extensive training in childhood behavior, special needs, risk management, and other camp-related topics. All PEEC staff members undergo background checks before working with children.

PEEC's nature day camp has been running since 1998. Campers will enjoy hiking, playing games, and exploring a national park under close supervision by trained camp staff. The camp day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Lunch is available for $50 per week and includes a sandwich, fruit, granola bar, and chips. Campers with special dietary needs can be accommodated if at least one week's notice is given. Transportation service is available for $50 per week at Milford Health Center. Pickup times are 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Our Nature Adventure residential camp is available to Junior Naturalists and Senior Naturalists and is designed as a "next step" in camping at PEEC. Junior Naturalists will go on field trips to local environmental and historical sites, and Senior Naturalists will go on a backpacking or river trip within the park. These sessions run from 9:00 a.m. Monday to 4:30 p.m. Friday. The cost includes all meals, special exclusive programs, and off-site trips. Financial assistance may be available - contact PEEC for details.
VOLUNTEER COUNSELOR PROGRAM
Our volunteer counselor position is a leadership program for young adults (15+ years old) interested in working at summer camp, changing children's lives, and gaining real-life job experience. Because this is considered a training position and not a camper program, the applicant volunteer should be responsible for communication and following through with the application process. Applications must be received by May 15 to be considered. Volunteer counselors must attend a pre-camp orientation and mandatory child abuse prevention training (2017 Date TBA).
