Dining Hall
The Dining Hall serves as the main food service venue for all PEEC guests and visitors and is a 'natural' choice for special events in the Poconos. The 3600 sq. ft. multi-purpose facility, seating 250 persons, boasts several 'green' strategies incorporated in its design, construction and function. Catering services are also available.
The Dining Hall received a 2006 Honor Award and in 2007was named one of the Top Ten ‘Green’ Buildings from the American Institute of Architects. The new facility boasts many sustainable properties such as passive solar heating, natural ventilation methods, energy efficient insulation, day-lighting, and the use of recycled and non-toxic materials for construction.
“The new Dining Hall is so unbelievable and so spacious and I love the fact that the building is environmentally friendly."
-Roberta Jacoby, Teacher, Elkins Park Middle School Teacher
Food Service
