Employment Opportunities at PEEC

Interns and instructors play a vital role in the daily operations of PEEC. Our success is intricately connected with the endeavors of our staff in education, public relations, program development, and managing facilities. Instructors and Interns lead activity sessions covering a wide range of topics including aquatic ecology, forest ecology, wildlife studies, geology, environmental stewardship, orienteering, teambuilding, canoeing and interpretive hikes.  See a full list of our program offerings in our program planning packet

Now Hiring
PEEC’s programming season runs from mid February through November.  Terms of employment may be 3 to 10 months and Instructors frequently return in February after a break during the winter months.

Interns tend to work during the summer months (May-August), but we welcome Interns during all seasons.  PEEC has agreements with many colleges/universities for academic scholarships.  Each summer, we hire Counselors and Camp Interns for our summer day camp and some of our Instructors and Interns work mostly with the camp program from mid-June to mid-August.  If you are interested in working with Summer Camp, please be sure to indicate this in your cover letter.
